Welcome to the New Orleans Cooking Experience. Our cooking school offers small luxury half-day classes, series classes and two weekend getaway cooking vacations. Our classes celebrate traditional Creole and Cajun recipes and are taught by exceptional chefs.
You will learn to cook authentic Louisiana cuisine in focused, spirited classes in our residential style kitchen. Following your cooking class you will enjoy a seated, served dinner party style meal in our charming private dining room.
Our classes include personalized instruction, unlimited wine service, complete recipe packets, a tour of the 17th century plantation house and dining. Our price covers everything including taxes and gratuities.
The New Orleans Cooking Experience is also available seven days a week for special, private events for groups of eight to 80.
The New Orleans Cooking Experience is the cooking school in residence at the House on Bayou Road.
The House
on Bayou Road is a Select Registry Inn located about 12 blocks
from the French Quarter, about mid-way between the Vieux Carre
and the New Orleans Museum of Fine Arts.
HOBR is a lovingly renovated, antique-filled, romantic
and tranquil petite Creole plantation compound. On the site
are the main plantation house built in the 1790s, several cottages,
Restaurant Indigo and over two acres of gardens, courtyard and
lawns.
