Our Classes
Our New Orleans Cooking Experience
classes are small, spirited and fun.
We teach authentic Creole cuisine with a dash of
Cajun. Our highly personalized cooking classes focus on the
techniques of creating Louisiana food, as well as the history and
culture of our region.
Half Day Classes: $150 per person
In each class at our cooking school we create a four-course
meal. This generally includes between five and eight recipes
per class. Cooking classes are limited to ten students, and
set in a small, intimate atmosphere for maximum interaction with
our teaching chefs. The teaching portion of class lasts about
2 ½ hours with the students joining the chef around our
teaching island.
Following class we sit down to enjoy our four-course
meal with a lively dinner party. Class fees include instruction,
a complete recipe packet, wine service for the duration of class
and the meal, and all taxes and gratuities.
Fee: Our class rate is $150 per person.
We also have group discounts for three
or more and both demonstration and hands-on classes are available.
Immersion
Series
The New Orleans Cooking Experience offers cooking
class series – four day, three day and two day series. There
is one class scheduled each day and students do not have to take
the classes on sequential dates, but may spread them over a week,
a month or a year if they choose.
Fees: Four classes, $560. Three classes, $420. Two
classes, $290.
Fees reflect special pricing through Winter, 2007.
Vacation Programs
The New Orleans Cooking Experience is currently offering two vacation
programs.
Our Long Weekend Getaway starts at $385 per person and includes:
- Offered Thursday through Saturday
- Two classes and Dinner at the famous Brigtsen’s Restaurant
- You may select the days of your choice for your dinner out and for your classes
Our Weekend Getaway starts at $290 per person and includes:
- dinner class on Friday
- lunch class on Saturday
We are also happy to make Sunday brunch reservations for you if your travel plans include a late departure on Sunday.

Join us for a private cooking experience just about any day of the week. The New Orleans Cooking Experience is a spectacular setting for birthdays, anniversaries, business entertaining, girl friend getaways, and other special occasions.

Four class series are usually purchased by local and regional students who spread their classes over a longer period of time. We have found that our guests enjoy their cooking experience more when they limit their classes to two days in a row and then take a day or two off before resuming class. After all, there is much to see, do and eat in while you are in New Orleans.
Gift Certificates
Are available for all programs and are valid for one year from the date of giving. The gift of cooking is a great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, holiday or wedding.
